Last week of Alzheimer’s Awareness Month!

HOW CAN YOU HELP A FAMILY MEMBER OR YOURSELF SUFFERING WITH ALZHEIMER’S?
List of helpful ways to prevent and or decrease the acceleration of:

1- Learn something new each day! Example, learn a new word.

2- Getting your spine adjusted on a regular basis. This helps to keep your blood flowing therefore, increasing the oxygen going to your brain.

3- Play thinking games scrabble, chess.

4- Partake in coordination games shooting a basketball, knitting, an activity using your hands.

5- Delete processed foods from your diet!

6- Eat organic. It’s worth the extra cost.

7- Increase amounts of fruits and vegetables, sounds simple, and YES it does work.

8- Change the smallest of routines. Examples: Shop from the opposite side of the grocery store, park in a different location then usual, walk a different way to work, take a different subway line or means of transportation.

9- Caretakers often suffer from emotional stress and depression. They become sick taking care of family members. If you are a caretaker, take care of YOU. Without your being healthy you won’t be able to take care of them. Oxygen mask on YOU first.

Be thankful for each other. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

With much love,
Dr. Morse
